MINUTES OF ANNUAL MEETING

Meeting called to order by President Cindy Gibson at 7:30 p.m.
MEMBERS ATTENDING:
Susan Schaler, Carl Schaler, Connie Marshall, Hedy McCarter, Cindy Gibson, Zoe Howland, Bill Stevenson
VIA INTERNET: Michaele Freund, Lynda Cass
ELECTIONS:
Elections for two-year term of Board Members-at-Large are Betsy Mahtani, Michaele Freund, and Barbara Buscemi.
Cindy Gibson elected for two-year term as President.
Bill Stevenson elected for two-year term as Treasurer.
Zoe Howland appointed to fill Vice President's position vacated by Lynda Cass.
Susan Schaler appointed to fill Secretary's position vacated by Zoe Howland.
TREASURER'S REPORT:
Currently GFIA has $1,970.79 in a Capital One Bank account and $856.07 in a PayPal account.
Carl will prepare a report in the near future.
MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
It was suggested that some sort of recognition be sent when a member renews. There would be an initial welcome packet and then a renewal packet. Suggestions were notepads, address labels, cling decals or some other sort of acknowledgment. No final decision was made.
There are currently 67 memberships.
ADVERTISEMENT:
We are currently advertising in Hobby Farms every other issue. The suggestion was made that we advertise in Fancy Fowl. Costs will be investigated.
OTHER:
Carl and Barbara will be working on the web site.
There will be a tribute placed on the home page for Dan MacNeice. Michaele will contact Charlotte for anecdotes about Dan.
