To me the picture suggests the "scaling" might be them molting. Carol- will you ( or anyone in Michigan) let me know when you start getting eggs? So I will know to start seriously hunting for them? Last year I found one egg and none of my guineas went broody, I've ordered an incubator and want to try hatching some this year.
